Tony De Vit was an English DJ and producer credited with carrying hard house and hard NRG out of Birmingham and London's gay clubs into the mainstream. His single Burning Up reached the UK top 30 in 1995, the year listeners voted him Essential Mix of the Year. He died in 1998, later ranked ninth in a Mixmag poll.
